Determining Value
The following factors may help determine the value of natural jadeite:
- Colour - strength and distribution of colour.
- Transparency/Clarity - the amount of light that passes through the material, and the amount of impurities and imperfections.
- Size - size, thickness and weight.
- Craftsmanship - how appealing and symmetrical the carving is.
